Arrival in San Leo late in the morning and meeting with the guide – Visit of the Pieve and the Cathedral, one of the most important monument of Romanesque in Romagna style, and the Fortress designed by Francesco di Giorgio Martini – Lunch in a restaurant with a menu based on seasonal dishes – In the afternoon transfer to the nearby town of Macerata Feltria and visit of the old town – Arrival at Sassocorvaro and guided visit to the Rocca by Francesco di Giorgio Martini and the lovely wooden theater – Departure for Pesar, dinner and overnight at the hotel
Buffet breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the guide – Departure to the Renaissance city of Urbino, a Unesco World heritage site and guided tour of Palazzo Ducale, Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, the Duomo, Raphael’s house, the Oratorio San Giovanni Battista and San Bernardino – Lunch and in the afternoon, return to Pesaro for a guided tour of the main monuments: Rocca Costanza (outside only), Palazzo Ducale (outside only), Civic Museum with local ceramic masterpieces, the Rossini’s birthplace, the Cathedral – Dinner and overnight at the hotel – After dinner, time for an optional visit to Gradara and its magnificent castle by night
Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the guide – Departure for Fano and guided tour of the Arch of Augustus, the Cathedral, the Malatesta Fortress, the initial part of Via Flaminia – Then transfer to Fossombrone – Visit to the Old Town with the Civic Museums and other monuments – Lunch break – Departure for Gubbio and visit of the picturesque Umbrian village, typically medieval – Return through Fabriano to Jesi – Check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight
Buffet breakfast at the hotel and departure for Ascoli Piceno – Meeting with the guide – Guided tour of the old townand in particular: Piazza Arringo, the Cathedral and the Crypt of S. Emidio, the Baptistery, Palazzo dell’Arengo with the access to the Mercatori Hall and the Museum of Quintana – Piazza del Popolo, the precious sixteenth-century square with a visit to the historic Caffè Meletti (you must try both the olives “all’ascolana” and the Anisetta!), The Loggia dei Mercanti and the Church of St. Francis with its medieval cloister – Then the “Quartiere Longobardo”, strolling through the typical streets of the city, you reach the Roman bridge – Departure for San Benedetto del Tronto (the heart of the so called “Riviera delle Palme”) and time at leisure for a walk along the sea and for lunch – Transfer to Fermo and guided visit to the old town: Piazza del Popolo, Palazzo dei Priori and Palazzo degli Studi – Visit to the Art Gallery (the beautiful room of the Globe), Roman cisterns and Historical Theatre, Church of the Assumption and Piazzale del Girifalco – Late in the afternoon return to the hotel in Jesi – Dinner and overnight
Breakfast and departure to Recanati – Guided tour of the old town, the places where Leopardi lived and visit to his birthplace and the library – Then departure for Macerata: time for lunch and then a guided tour of the historical center with Palazzo Buonaccorsi and the Museumof antique carriages, the Civic Tower and the Sferisterio Arena – In the afternoon visit to the beautiful Romanesque Abbey of San Claudio and Santa Maria a Piè di Chienti – External visit to Loreto and its Basilica, dedicated to the Black Virgin Mary and return to Jesi by highway – Dinner and overnight at the hotel
Breakfast and departure for the city of Ancona, the capital town of the Marche – The visit includes the following itinerary: the Roman Cathedral of San Ciriaco, with a wonderful overview on the port of Ancona with the Arch of Traiano and the Lazzaretto, the archaeological site with the remains of the Senate Palace, the Palace of the elderly, Piazza del papa, the Loggia dei Mercanti and the church of Santa Maria della Piazza – If the weather is good, we recommend the visit of Portonovo, a picturesque bay under Mount Conero where you can taste a delicious seafood lunch with an amazing view on the Adriatic sea – End of services and return to the airport
